Who is Tulsi Gabbard?
Tulsi Gabbard is a politician from the United States, an officer in the United States Army Reserve, and a political commentator. She was the United States Representative representing Hawaii’s 2nd Congressional District from 2013 to 2021. Gabbard was born on April 12, 1981. Gabbard was the first Samoan-American voter to become a member of Congress, in addition to being the first Hindu to ever serve in Congress. She ran under the banner of the Democratic Party for the nomination to run for President of the United States in the year 2020.
At the age of 21, Gabbard won a seat in the House of Representatives of Hawaii in the election held in 2002. [Gabbard served in a field medical unit of the Hawaii Army National Guard while it was deployed to Iraq from 2004 to 2005, and then she served as an Army Military Police platoon leader in Kuwait from 2008 to 2009.] She resigned from her position as a vice chair of the Democratic National Committee (DNC) from 2013 to 2016, during which time she was a member of Congress. She did so in order to lend her support to Bernie Sanders’ campaign for the Democratic nomination for president in 2016.
During her tenure in Congress, she was a regular guest on Fox News, where she criticised the Obama administration for “refusing” to acknowledge that “radical Islam” or “Islamic extremism” is the “true adversary” of the United States. During her run for president, she made a point of emphasising her opposition to military interventionism, despite the fact that she has described herself as a “hawk” on the issue of terrorism. Mainstream Democrats were the ones who fought in public about her decision to meet with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and her doubts about claims that he had used chemical weapons.
In March of 2020, Gabbard announced that she would no longer be running for president and instead give her support to Joe Biden. On January 3, 2021, Kai Kahele took up Gabbard’s seat in the House of Representatives. Following the conclusion of her run for the presidency, Gabbard has adopted conservative stances on contentious topics related to the culture war, such as abortion and transgender rights. In 2022, Gabbard was a featured speaker at the Conservative Political Action Conference, and she had previously supported the Parental Rights in Education Act in Florida, which was met with opposition from the public on the part of teacher unions.

What are the reasons behind Tulsi Gabbard’s decision to leave the Democratic Party?
Gabbard said in her statement that she is no longer a Democrat. She said that she is no longer a Democrat because of “anti-white racism” and “wokeness” in the Democratic Party.
I am unable to continue being a member of the Democratic Party in its current incarnation because it is now entirely controlled by an elite cabal of warmongers who are motivated by cowardly wokeness. I am unable to continue being a member of the Democratic Party in its current iteration. These individuals are hostile to people of faith and spirituality; believe in open borders; demonise the police; protect criminals at the expense of law-abiding Americans; demonise the police; and use the national security state as a weapon to go after politicians. They also actively work to undermine the freedoms that God has given us.
I can no longer remain in today’s Democratic Party that is now under the complete control of an elitist cabal of warmongers driven by cowardly wokeness, who divide us by racializing every issue & stoke anti-white racism, actively work to undermine our God-given freedoms, are… pic.twitter.com/oAuTnxZldf

I support a system of government that is run by, for, and for the people. Sadly, the Democratic Party of today does not. Instead, it symbolises a government run by, for, and by the wealthy elite. I’m urging my fellow Democrats who have a feeling of independence to leave the Democratic Party with me.
I welcome you to join me if you can no longer stand the path on which so-called awakened Democratic Party ideologues are leading our nation.
